Isaiah 63:1, "Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save."
In his Janaury 14th morning devotion, Spurgeon writes:
"Are you praying for some beloved one? Oh, do not give up praying, for Christ is 'mighty to save.' You are powerless to reclaim the rebel, but your Lord is Almighty."
This is such a wonderful reminder as the days are busy and long. Often we intend to be in prayer for those who are lost, but negelct it. Or, we've prayed so long that it seems hopeless. No matter the instance, our God is Mighty to Save! Pray on!
Today's morning devotional is an exerpt from a sermon preached by Charles Spurgeon on January 4, 1857 on Isaiah 63:1. See the entire sermon here.
